The Host of Cleo Live!, Louisiana State Senator Cleo Fields, is known for his visibility
and name recognition solidified by an outstanding and history-making career in local, state and national politics. “He is a great orator, who has dazzled audiences across the United States and abroad with his
motivational speaking.”
Senator Fields is not only a State Senator, but also an attorney and owner of the Fields Law Firm, LLC in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is a former Congressman, who served under the
Clinton Administration in the 103rd and 104th Congress. He began his political career in 1987, at the age of 24, when he became the youngest State
Senator of Louisiana. In 1992, after serving several years in state politics, Fields made a bid for Governor of Louisiana. As a gubernatorial candidate, he made the run-off. This was a first for any African-American in the state.
Due to redistricting, in 1997, Fields decided not to make a bid for re-election to Congress. He then formed Cleo Fields & Assocoates, LLC, a general consulting
group; a year later, he began his law practice and returned to his political origin as State Senator of Louisiana-District 14.
